Description: This webinar will discuss avowed values of diversity and equity in our field and provide recommendations for how practitioners can uphold and advance our mission of helping others and creating a better world. We will explore using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster cultural awareness and committed action in behavior analysts. Audience members will be asked to clarify personal values around diversity and equity, identify potentially problematic rules and rule deriving related to privilege and bias, and specific behaviors that might move us towards a more diverse and equitable field.

1) Identify ethical and practical issues of diversity and equity within ABA

2) Use 6 core principles of ACT to identify methods to increase cultural awareness
