Event Description: As Behavior Analysts we interact with parents on a daily basis. They have their set of priorities and values, as do we the "professionals." Maintaining awareness of parent values and barriers, as related to differing cultures, is imperative to the success of intervention. Parents are the main manipulators of the environment and assuring we work well with them is foundational to the progression of treatment.

Learning Objectives: 1. Behavior Analysts will engage in "Active Listening" to identify values.  2. Parents will engage "Active Listening" to report on possible covert behavior that is a barrier to treatment. 3. All Learners will engage in conversation exploring familial and cultural expectations during delivery of services.
